Shiva and Ganesha

I bought this statue from the owner of the website houtsnijwerkbali.nl". What a beautiful collectible! It has a particularly pronounced patina. You can clearly see the age of the statue, it even looks a little like from a museum. Shiva has a very prominent pose in which a special meaning can be suspected. In the depiction of Ganesha I still see clear Art Deco influences, and otherwise this statue corresponds to the typical style of the 1930s, even if the exact year of manufacture is unfortunately unknown.

I am very happy to have this statue next to my other Shiva statue. Both are a wonderful example of the high level of craftsmanship and artistic work of those years.
