The union of Rama and Sita is the main motif of the Ramayana epic. In this statue both are shown united, the image is very pleasing and aims at romance. Such a common motif is certainly not a great artistic challenge. Nevertheless, the statue convinces me by the very clean, exact and detailed work, not least it simply looks beautiful. And finally I have a representation of Rama in the form of a statue in my collection, because much to my amazement Rama seems to be carved rather rarely, unlike many gods.
